Returning Camper Requests for 2022
In other words, if you were unable to attend camp in 2021, please do not worry. In 2022 place your booking request just like you did in 2020.
2022 Vaccine Requirements
COVID-19 is not gone from our communities as is evident from trends we are seeing across Ontario and the world. The Public Health Agency of Canada maintains that vaccines are the most important tool to protect ourselves and our communities against the impacts of future waves of COVID-19.
Given that our population includes both those under 5 years of age and older at-risk age-groups, we have an obligation to do all we can to maintain as safe an environment as possible for our staff and campers alike.
For this reason, we have implemented the following policy regarding vaccinations for the summer of 2022.
This has not been an easy decision however, we believe that this is the best course of action to give us stability for the summer and is in the best interest of our staff and campers.
Policy
Healthcare professionals and applicable public health recommendations are guiding our response to COVID-19. Vaccination requirements for the 2022 summer camping season include the following:
- All staff must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to arriving at camp (currently two vaccines at least two weeks before arrival)
- All campers (including everyone attending, volunteering, or visiting camp) aged 5+ must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to their arrival at camp (currently two vaccines at least two weeks before arrival).
- Valid medical exemptions (in Ontario, a medical exemption approved by your public health unit and displayed on an enhanced vaccination certificate with QR code) must be shared with the camp office at least two weeks prior to arrival. Exemptions from outside Ontario will be considered on a case-by-case basis and at camp management’s sole discretion. Where a jurisdiction has a government process to evaluate medical exemptions similar to Ontario, evidence of such exemption will be requested. If approved, alternative measures may be required (e.g., proof of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival at camp).
Camping Dates & Rates
The rates as posted above include 3 meals daily, cabin accommodations, and use of all camp facilities.
All rates are subject to HST(13%). Children’s rates are based on their age as of July 1st this year.
Campers attending a FULL SESSION should appear on the registration request. Campers attending for a partial session (eg. visiting for a few days) should not appear on the registration, but should check in at the office upon arrival as a daily camp visitor and settle their account at that time.
Accepted camper registration requests will be considered as “in camp” and will each be charged the full session fee.
Deposits
Your deposit is required at the camp office immediately upon receiving your cabin assignment email. Deposits may be paid by cheque mailed to the Ottawa office, e-transfer to redpine@redpinecamp.org, or through your bank as a “bill payment”. Please see “How to Pay Your Bill Online” for information.
Final camp bills are due two (2) weeks prior to your arrival at camp.
We do not accept credit cards or postdated cheques.
Final Camp Bill Payment
Guests Visiting You at Camp
Please inform the office in the morning of a day when you expect guests to notify the dining hall staff. When your guests arrive, they must check in at the office to sign waivers, confirm a health check and settle their fees at that time. If day or meal visits are allowed, please contact the camp office for rates.
If overnight guests are allowed – Guests staying overnight at camp must have a family cabin in which to stay. Red Pine Camp does not allow sleeping in tents, vehicles or trailers on site.
The camp office is closed Sunday afternoon
If you have guests visiting you at camp on a Sunday, please let the office know when you check in or Sunday morning to collect waivers and settle any fees that would be incurred by their stay prior to Sunday lunch. The office reopens Monday morning after breakfast.
Cancellation Policy
COVID-19 ADDENDUM – Prior to arrival at camp, should a Red Pine family need to cancel their full booking due to Covid-19 symptoms or illness, call the office immediately and we will process a full cancellation and refund to the family.

FAMILY CAMP The Red Pine Camp office must be notified of any adjustment(s) to the registration request (including camper cancellations), at least 30 days prior to date of arrival.
