Join Us In “100 for 100”

June 13th, 2017

For so many of us who belong to this community, Red Pine Camp is a touchstone, a sense of place, a fellowship that sustains us throughout the year.

In 2025, Red Pine turns 100 years old. As the centenary approaches, we are working hard to refresh and rebuild the cabins for generations of campers to follow.

This summer, cabins 11, 34 and 35 have been rebuilt under the leadership of RPC campers and architects Diane Whalen and Tom Laverty. The new cabins are beautiful!

To help us continue and hasten the cabin rebuilding efforts, Read the rest of this entry »

May 30th, 2017

Thank you to all campers and volunteers who turned out this past weekend to help get camp ready for the summer.   There was painting, construction inside and out, digging, grounds keeping, cabin cleaning,  Dining Hall cleaning and new latticework, tree root coverage, craft department organization, Rec Hall tidying, and so much more – but wiat! There is still lots of work to be done and we are looking forward to seeing another group of campers and volunteers up this weekend June 2-4th.  Come up for a great pizza dinner Friday and socialize with other campers that evening.

Make sure to sign up within the registration system to let us know you are coming to help out!

April 24th, 2017

Hello Red Pine Campers

You may have heard that the Bonnechere Watershed is experiencing extensive flooding this year. Water levels on Golden Lake are the highest they have been in 20 years and they have been affecting residents, cottagers, and Red Pine Camp as well.

In fact, the water is so high that — for the first time ever — the top wooden deck of A-Dock floated off the underlying support structure. We are fortunate to have great neighbours on Island View Drive who immediately notified us. Our Property Managers Rick and Tom Read the rest of this entry »
